Look, I got me a l’il card from my daughter down in Windsor ON. A “just because” kinda card. Jenna said thanks for checking out her and her partner (Dusty) first entry onto YouTube. (and they have a whole bunch more, also!!). Then, good golly gosh!!, and then she says that they will be opening for The Edgar Winter Band in March!!!

I gotta say that y’all need to be of the age that I am to realize what an amazing thing this is. The Edgar Winter Band. “Frankenstein”. “Free Ride”. Get the drift? Ronnie Montrose (y’all know the Red Rocker, Sammy Hagar??), Johnny Winter (the Blues extraordinaire!), Ricky Derringer (Rock & Roll, Hoochie-Coo), I mean, shit, Edgar Winter is a legend in the early days of rock. Early days?? Shee-oot, he’s the man today, if’n y’all got any sense of what Rock & Roll really is!!
I googled Edgar Winter and found out that he was gonna play in Toronto on 5 March, too freakin’ late for this rock ‘n’ roller to get a ticket to the show. Damn! I mean, to see my girl on stage, AND to get to see Edgar Winter again… oh my, be still my pounding heart!!! (hell, and he was skedded to play at the fucking Fillmore East in fucking NYC on the 6th w/ his bro, Johnny. oh my… the Fillmore East, man!
Anyways, I sure as heck don’t know the honor Jenna and Dusty got to do the opening for the likes of this icon of Rock.. but, wow! Jenna and her beau are on to great things, damn right! Bang on, and good on ya both!!!
oh yeah, but I sure gots me three great kids!! A girl who’s lookin’ to the world of music, a boy who’s workin’ hard in the bang-up world of pro-wrestling, and the youngest gal striving hard to make inroads in the world of graphic arts. I tell ya, for the lack of anything creative that this boy’s got, he’s got himself a supreme group of children / adults that just make him bust wide with pride!!!!
